I grew up in San Diego in a small rural area. I’m 100% Italian and grew up with my Mom and Grandma cooking in the house. I always had an interest in food even teaching kids to make a Pina Colada during 4th grade “show and tell”. During summer breaks in college, I was chef support to two classically trained chef’s while working for the Prince of Saudi. My interest in film lead me into a career of Visual Effects which, is very similar to cooking. In VFX you take a bunch of pieces of film and 3D creations and assemble them to form a nicely composed picture. In cooking we take a bunch of raw ingredients and compose them into a tasty dish. Because of my passion to teach and help others, after earning my Master Chef certification, we opened a cooking school that was designed to have nightly participants cook a 4 course meal from scratch. U-foodie taught up to 27 people at a time using their own station and cooking tools. It was great fun but we wanted to reach more people so we designed this program. Now we can teach many more people and I still get to instruct and help others become amazing in the kitchen. It’s your turn so let’s get cooking!
